Staying in Sri Lanka was just amazing. Everything was very nice and neat. Any transportation was escorted by military soldiers. It was absolutely VIP handling. Because of medical condition, they asked me to wear full PPE which I purchased in Bahrain. From Pakistan via India to Sri Lanka, total flight was about 11 hrs and it was a LONG day. I thought I cannot eat anything on that night because it was really late. However hotel stuff brought me a hot meal and I was like “OMG!! Really!! I was hungry!!!” A hotel staff gave me a big smile and he said “welcome to Sri Lanka!!!” Wherever I visited, they welcomed Lucy and me. I love this country as well!!!
パキスタンからインドを経由して一気にスリランカに到着。約11時間に及ぶフライトは暑さ熱中症、脱水症状との戦いでした。ただそのスリランカの到着後、私は非常に嬉しいおもてなしを受けました。空港からホテルの間の移動は必ずスリランカ兵が並走する護衛がつき、夜遅い到着だったにもかかわらずホテルスタッフが温かい夕食を持ってきてくれました。思わず私は『本当ですか？私にですか？』と言ってしまったほど。温かくそしておいしいアジア料理は今まで食べたことのないぬくもりを感じました。様々な制限のある今日の生活ですがこのようなおもてなしを受けたのは正直、心が鷲掴みにされました。また次のフライトの早朝2時出発にもかかわらずホテルスタッフはサンドイッチを作ってくれて私を見送ってくれました。本当に心豊かな国なんだなと感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。ありがとうスリランカ！！
