After 36 years at KING 5 News, Ms. Lori Matsukawa retired in June 2019. Last year at Japan fair, I met Lori and she was very very kind and listened my story.
"what!! one eyed pilot!! you have to talk about this. Shinji!!" This is how Lori reacted when we first met. Later on I sent a detail story about what I do in aviation. Then she sent over her TV crews to me last February. She was not only news reporter but she was indeed an "anchor" between Japan and USA. She is a Board of Directors of Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington. I have to say "thank you very much for supporting Nikkei society in Seattle and USA, and congratulations for your retirement!!!"
