It was such a honored invitation to attend First World Flight Centennial Celebration as special guest to talk about Shinji’s Earthrounder mission flight. One hundred years ago, 6 countries competed to be the first to fly around the world- the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Portugal, Argentina, and the United States. Only 2 planes returned to Seattle, September 28, 1924 and winning the race!! Today, Shinji was part of this centennial celebration and such a honor to be part of this historical event.
100年前の今日、史上初の飛行機による世界一周フライトから2機の飛行機がここシアトルに戻ってきました。そう、それがアメリカ陸軍が使った２人乗りのダグラス社製ワールドクルーザーでした。今日、前田はその功績を祝うスペシャルゲストとしてパネルディカッションに参加し、自身との世界一周の違いや、そして「なぜ米国が航空業界でナンバーワンに君臨するのか」を前田なりの言葉で話をしました。この名誉ある歴史的な出来事に前田も参加できたこと、感謝しかありません。
