I had the honor of speaking at a Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) hosted session.

Honestly, what resonated most wasn’t my success.

It was my failures.The moments I got it wrong. The decisions I wish I could take back.�The times I questioned if I should continue at all.

But that’s where aviation teaches us something powerful:

Failure is not the opposite of safety. Ignoring failure is.

Every mistake I’ve made—�as a pilot, as an engineer, as a human—�forced me to slow down, think deeper, and prepare better.

That’s how “impossible” begins to change.

Not in the moment of success,�but in the quiet moments where you choose to learn instead of hide.

And yesterday, I realized something.

The spirit of William Boeing is still alive.

Not in history books—�but in every engineer, every pilot,�and in every moment we refuse to accept “impossible” as the final answer.

I’m grateful I was able to stand there and share that spirit.

If there’s one thing I want to leave here:

Don’t be afraid of your failures.�They might be the most honest instructor you’ll ever have.

正直に言うと、一番響いたのは成功の話ではありませんでした。

失敗の話でした。

うまくいかなかった瞬間。やり直したいと思った判断。続けるべきか迷った時間。

この会社を2017年に本気で辞めようと思ったこと。。。

ですが、航空で忘れていけないことは一つ。

それは失敗そのものが危険ではなく、その失敗から目を背けることです。

パイロットとして、エンジニアとして、そして一人の人間として経験してきた失敗は、�私に立ち止まり、深く考え、より準備することを教えてくれました。

「Impossible」が変わり始めるのは、成功の瞬間ではなく、

失敗と向き合うと決めた、その静かな瞬間です。

そして昨日、ひとつ確信しました。

William Boeingの精神は、今も生きている。

歴史の中ではなく、エンジニア一人ひとりの中に、パイロット一人ひとりの中に、�そして「不可能」で終わらせない、その瞬間の中に。

その精神を共有できたことに、心から感謝しています。

最後にひとつだけ。

失敗を恐れない、ことを。�それは、私たちにとって最も正直な教官かもしれません。
