Efforts Will Ever Be Rewarded

Many American students who lived through the COVID era are carrying a deep sense of loneliness, anxiety, and uncertainty about the future.

With fewer in-person classes and more learning happening online, many of them—just like students in Japan—now struggle with face-to-face communication.

In this class, I saw several students who could not put their phones down.

In other words, more students are finding it difficult to look others in the eye or are afraid to speak up.

Because so many students feel a sense of helplessness—wondering whether their efforts will ever be rewarded—I believe that my message, spoken with sincerity, reached across borders today.
