Koya, a one-eyed pilot candidate, stayed at our home for three days.
Living alone in the United States is never easy.
Language, culture, loneliness… and the quiet battle with yourself.
But people who aim for the sky usually carry dreams that are just a little bit crazy.
At 21 years old, his life’s flight plan has just begun. I truly believe he will one day reach the runway of the dream he has drawn for himself.
I feel grateful to share the same sky and the same dream with young people who carry such determination.
Koya, you’ll be fine.

我が家に 2泊3日 滞在していきました。
アメリカで一人で生きることは、決して簡単ではありません。
言葉、文化、孤独、そして自分自身との戦い。
でも空を目指す人間は、
いつも 少し無茶なくらいの夢 を持っているものです。
21歳。
今まさに、彼の人生のフライトプランが動き始めています。
きっと彼なら、自分が描いた夢の滑走路にたどり着く。
私はそう信じています。
こうして強い意志を持つ若者と、
同じ空の夢を共有できることを本当に幸せに思います。
