In 2017, Shinji launched a plan for a round-the-world mission flight, but he ran into a dead end due to a complete lack of funding. He secured the funds by mortgaging his house, and just as he was about to get started, Mr. Sano offered to help him financially. Today, Shinji showed him Lucy he felt a huge gratitude. Mr Sano praised that “It’s a magnificently modified aircraft, and it’s at the cutting edge of aviation education,” and Shinji was deeply touched by the words of a senior aircraft engineer.
