“Nonstop Summer, Part 5”

Presenting lectures to female university students is especially important in Japan, where women’s social advancement is extremely lagging. Issues such as the disproportionate burden of housework and childcare, flaws in corporate culture and legislative systems, and deep-rooted gender discrimination are all serious issues. This was Maeda’s third lecture at Yasuda Women’s University, and he always looks forward to most. The results exceeded our expectations because the professor in charge suggested holding the lecture in Japan.

女性の社会進出が限りなく遅れている祖国日本だからこそ、女子大学生に対する講演会は非常に重要です。家事・育児の偏った負担、企業文化や立法制度の不備、根強いジェンダー差別など、どれをとっても深刻です。これで3度目になる安田女子大学への講演会は前田がとても楽しみにしている催しの1つです。今回は担当の教授から日本での講演実施の提案など、私たちNPOにとっても期待した以上の成果がありました。
