Shinji visited Arlington National Cemetery

Retired Brig. Gen. Charles McGee, a legendary member of the Tuskegee Airmen, has passed away at the age of 102 on Jan. 16, 2022. This is why Shinji visited his final resting place before he came back to Seattle last week. Arlington National Cemetery is the largest cemetery in the United States National Cemetery and More than 400,000 people are buried. No only say thanks, it was real honor moment for Shinji.

タスキーギ・エアメン（Tuskegee Airmen）は、米軍史上初のアフリカ系アメリカ人の航空部隊の通称名。第二次世界大戦当時のアメリカ軍では人種隔離政策（racial segregation）により黒人は航空機搭乗員になれなかった中、史上初めてアフリカ系アメリカ人のみで構成された部隊である。この度、前田はアメリカ空軍で初めて戦闘機乗りになったマクギー推将が眠るアーリントン国立墓地を訪問。アメリカの航空歴史を作った飛行士の慰霊を実施ししました。
