The Quiet Birdmen- Part 2

Today’s presentation at the Quiet Birdmen.

I was told, “Shinji, your presentation was truly outstanding.”

There was also a very special moment for me.

Neal Karman, who has served as an examiner for my trainees,

presented me with a commemorative mug on behalf of the QB as a token of appreciation.

Having evaluated countless pilots throughout his career,

his words—and this gesture—carry a meaning that is hard to put into words.

It is truly an honor for me.

The Quiet Birdmen (QB) is not a group that anyone can simply join.

It is a highly selective, invitation-only community—

a place where the history and spirit of aviation quietly live on.

That is why being given the opportunity to speak there,

and to have my journey received by such individuals,

is something I hold with deep pride.

There are things only those who have flown can understand.

It was a moment filled with quiet respect and shared experience.

I will carry this forward—

and continue passing on the unspoken values of aviation to the next generation.

「本当に素晴らしかった」と声をかけていただきました。

そして今回、私にとって特別な出来事がありました。これまで試験官として私の訓練生を見てくださっていたNeal Karman氏が、QBを代表して感謝の証としてマグカップを贈ってくださいました。

数多くのパイロットを見てきた彼からのその一言、そしてその贈り物は、私にとって言葉では言い尽くせないほどの名誉です。

Quiet Birdmen（QB）は、誰でも参加できる団体ではありません。招待された者のみが集う、航空の歴史と魂を受け継ぐ特別なコミュニティです。

だからこそ、その場で自分の飛行人生を語る機会をいただけたこと、

そしてその経験を受け止めていただけたことに、深い誇りを感じています。

空を飛んできた者同士だからこそ通じるものがある。その静かな共感と敬意に包まれた時間でした。

この経験を胸に、これからも次の世代へと、“言葉にならない航空の価値”を伝えていきたいと思います。
